HIGHLIGHTS

B.Sc., Mechanical Engineering, Auburn University, 1954

A Marine Corps pilot, Williams graduated from the US Navy Test Pilot School at Patuxent, Maryland.

Following graduation worked in the Carrier Suitability Branch as a test pilot until selection by NASA.

Assigned to range operations, instrumentation and crew safety for Project Gemini.

C.C. Williams was killed in the crash of his T-38 jet near Tallahassee, Florida on October 5th, 1967.
